Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 24, 2026

This policy explains how Backline handles information when you visit backline.build or contact us.

Information we collect

When you visit the website, we may automatically collect limited usage information such as the pages you view, where your visit came from, clicks and scrolling, session duration, device and browser type, and approximate location. Analytics services may use your IP address to process a request or estimate location, depending on the provider's settings.

If you contact us by email or WhatsApp, or schedule a call through Cal.com, we receive the information you choose to share, such as your name, contact details, and message.

Analytics and session replay

We use PostHog and may use Google Analytics to understand how the website is used and improve its content and experience. These tools may use cookies or local storage to distinguish visits and measure website usage.

We may use session replay to see how visitors navigate, click, and scroll, and to diagnose problems. A replay reconstructs activity within the website; it is not a recording from your device's camera or microphone. We configure the tool to mask input fields and sensitive information, and we do not use recordings to identify you personally.

How we use information

We use information to understand website performance, improve clarity and usability, diagnose issues, measure the effectiveness of marketing channels, and respond to your inquiries. We do not sell your data or share it for targeted advertising.

Sharing and storage

We may process information through service providers needed to operate the website and communicate with you, including PostHog, Google Analytics, our website host, Cal.com, WhatsApp, and our email provider. Some providers may process data outside Saudi Arabia under their own terms and safeguards.

We retain analytics data for no longer than 14 months and session recordings for no longer than 90 days. We retain correspondence only as long as needed to respond, manage our relationship, or meet legal requirements, then delete or anonymize it when it is no longer needed.

Your choices and rights

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Where applicable law requires your consent for non-essential analytics, we rely on that consent and you may withdraw it.

Subject to applicable law, you may ask what personal data we hold about you and request access, correction, deletion, objection to processing, or withdrawal of consent. Send your request to hello@backline.build.

Updates and contact

We may update this policy when our tools or data practices change. We will publish the updated version here with a new revision date. For any privacy question or request, email hello@backline.build.
